bo Bridges

creative + photography

Whether he’s shooting the world’s best action sport athletes or a marketing campaign for some of the largest and most successful companies in America, Bo Bridges captures the moment with defining imagery. From Tahiti’s famed big-waves to Vegas’ billion-dollar diamond boutiques to New York’s fashion studios to the helicopter-accessed mountains in New Zealand, Bridges has been there and shot it.

Bo’s career began after he graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in photography from Miami University. Having earned his pilot’s license during that time, Bridges moved to Tampa Bay, Florida and opened an aerial photography business with a friend. Making a living with his eye from 10,000 feet proved successful, but Bridges sought even greater adventure and diversity in his work.

In 1996, Bo moved to Vail, Colorado, where he could more easily pursue his passion for outdoor sports photography. His camera followed him into the mountains, and imagery of skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, rafting, and wakeboarding soon followed. His move to Hermosa Beach, California in 2000 put Bridges in the heart of the action sports industry, where he could shoot surfing, skateboarding, and BMX as well as lifestyle year round. He now counts many of the best athletes in all these sports as his primary subjects.

Today, when he’s not surfing, Bridges is traveling the globe for clients like Pepsi, Campbell’s, Ford, T-Mobile, Sobe, and Coors. His work can be seen in Sports Illustrated, Outside, ESPN Magazine, Rolling Stone, FHM, Maxim, and in advertising campaigns worldwide.
